| | Triplethreat said "We just get finished celebrating Canada's 150th birthday and enjoying the long weekend to wake up to this (I can't even think of a word for it) on Tuesday morning.
So, that's how it works! Instead of going to post secondary school and learning a trade or profession to better yourself or even just buying lottery tickets every week, all you have to do is become an islamic terrorist and go overseas to fight against our troops, have your way with any girls or women that your band of terrorists capture, behead a few civilians, then kill a member of one of Canada's allies military. You will then be sent to a prison run by our ally, where you will be held in high regard by the other terrorists for killing an American and you will be given all of the rights that none of your victims had. Then after you've done your two years, you can come back to Canada where you will have all of the protections of the Canadian constitution that you hate so much, not to mention the benefits of all of our social programs. Then to top it all off, the pathetic joke of a government will give you $10.5 million dollars of Canadian taxpayer's money.
...And just think of all of the money I've wasted on lottery tickets over the years!
By the time it's all over I wouldn't be surprised if Trudeau gives him the Order of Canada. " |

Triplethreat ? I think you should put your plan into action.
Omar was a 15 year old under the thumb of his father, a relentless and brutal tyrant. From the day he was born he was taught to obey his father without question. Who among us was so worldly and aware at 15 that we could have resisited ?
Yes, I believe he did throw the grenade. Yes, it was wrong.
For his crime he was mortally wounded and imprisoned for 15 years. He was probably tortured. The Canadian government abandoned him and denied him his rights and is therefore complicit in his maltreatment.
If he had not been radicalized, as a child, by his father, and had not thrown the grenade, how would we feel about the situation ? Was he really operating of his own free will ?
Would any of us happily accept what he has been through and being abandoned by our government ?
If that had happened to you, would you be inclined to seek compensation ?
