I would be very careful taking advice anywhere except from a real herbalist, preferably one who has decades of experience, and is respected in the community of herbalism. I am extremely careful to check out whatever I hear by checking it against a known, trusted source. I would encourage you to do the same and in doing so, feel comfortable recommending all sources mentioned in my post.
Mountain Rose Herbs,
http://www.herbaleducation.net/herbs-glance and hollowreedholistic.ca (in Winnipeg) have good information. You can sometimes find free courses and paid ones through
http://www.internationalintegrative.com where Western herbalism, Chinese medicine and Ayurveda are taught.
The following is a site of an older herbalist-midwife, highly respected in both communities. She mentions skullcap:

There is a bit more detail on
http://www.susunweed.com/herbal_ezine/August08/wisewoman.htm where it says that skullcap works well with St. Joan''s/John''s wort. Taken together, they ease migraines, relax stiff muscles, and relieve pain throughout the body.
In a stressful situation, the author takes 1-2 drops of skullcap in the morning, right after rising. It seems to strengthen my nervous system.
Also, Rosemary Gladstar (another older highly respected herbalist) suggests this beautiful tea for headaches and it has helped me deal with migraines, if caught early on, sometimes:
1 part basil leaf
1 part lemon balm
1/4 part chamomile and/or lavender flower
Mix well. Use 1 tsp. dried/2 tsp. fresh herb blend per cup of boiling water. Pour boiling water over the herbs, let infuse for 10 minutes, then strain.
Drink warm/at room temperature. Also try soaking your feet in hot water.
Hope I helped. Migraines are not fun.
