Just a small clarification re the city waiving penalties on late tax payments until October.... this applies to the 2020 tax year only. Any penalties being incurred as a result of previous tax years' balance still outstanding will still have penalties apply.

Via the Province's update for today, four new cases in Manitoba for a provincial total of 221. The accompanying bulletin (link below) makes clear that the current case number does not in any way indicate a reduced risk  

 
On the regional breakdown chart, Prairie Mountain Health's case count remains at 11. Of note, that 11 is now made up of 10 confirmed and 1 probable as opposed to yesterday's 11 confirmed.

Via the province's daily update, no new cases to report today and one previous probable case has been deemed a false positive leaving the provincial total at 242.  
 
Prairie Mountain Health remains at 11 cases.  
 
The case numbers are once again said by the Province to not be indicative of reduced risk but in stead may show that social distancing measures are having some effect. Continued vigilance is stressed.

The province is reporting four new cases today, bringing the Manitoba total to 246. The regional breakdown continues to show Prairie Mountain Health as having 11 cases (10 confirmed, 1 probable).  
 
It was announced today that public health orders have been extended to April 28. This means that non-essential businesses will continue to be required to be closed and that gatherings continue to be limited to ten people. Also today it was announced that Brandon's testing site will be moved beginning tomorrow afternoon to the Town Centre and the P1 level of its parkade. This will allow Brandon to have a drive-thru location with hours that will be from 8am-4pm over all seven days of the week. A reminder that testing is done by referral. If you're experiencing symptoms or concerned about exposure, one is asked to contact Health Links-Info Santé at 204-788-8200 or 1-888-315-9257 (toll-free) where they will assess and refer for testing as appropriate. A few business updates...  
 
Livingstone Landscaping is continuing to work towards the opening of their new location at the start of May. Until then their current Park Ave East location is open from Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with a limit of one customer at a time at that current location. Also offering various remote options for connecting with customers.  
 
Westoba Credit Union's Kirkcaldy Drive branch is temporarily closed with both 1st street and 34th street locations remaining open.  
 
Also wanted to make note of two more local stores offering free delivery within the city.... A Pet Lovers Warehouse and Westman Lumber Supply.

The Province is reporting no new cases today.  
 
From the bulletin at the link below, the province continues to say that:  
"Manitobans should not interpret current case numbers to mean the risk of COVID-19 is reduced. The current statistics may be a reflection of the effect strict social distancing measures have had and reaffirms that these measures must be continued."
