April 10 Provincial update
4/10/2020 at 1:11 PM
At today’s provincial briefing, it was announced that a man in 70s from Winnipeg with underlying medical conditions has died as a result of the virus. The province has now seen four deaths from COVID-19.
Six new cases were announced in Manitoba today for a total of 230. Of those, 11 are from the Prairie Mountain Health region (10 confirmed, 1 probable).
It was emphasized again that recent numbers are not indicative of reduced risk and that social distancing is critical in fighting the spread of COVID-19 in Manitoba. It was stressed that this is not the time for family gatherings. Please stay connected virtually and do not invite family over for Easter dinner.
