starting a private home daycare -- help appreciated!

I am a new mom and instead of returning to work I am considering staying home and running a private daycare out of my home starting in the spring.
I am looking for information on running home daycares and tips from people who have (are) doing it. Is there anything I NEED to know? How much should I be charging?
I would be starting from scratch so I would really appreciate all the help and information I can get!
