Funds For Furry Friends - FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!
1/16/2011 at 1:06 PM
Fund For Furry Friends is a Foster-based Animal Rescue. Unfortunately, there are currently more dogs than there are Foster Homes, and many are living at the kennel. This is not ideal, and is very expensive.
Funds For Furry Friends is in urgent need of Foster Homes.
FFFF rescues dogs that are abandoned, found at large and unclaimed, destined to be euthanized. It is difficult for them to anxiously await and miss their family while potentially living in a kennel/cage when a Foster Home is not available.
Foster Homes are extremely valuable and key to allowing a dog or cat to reveal their true personality. They are more content when meeting people. Adoptions are more successful when the Forever Family knows more about the dog they are bringing home.
FFFF currently has an excess of dogs that are in need of a Foster Home. Larger dogs have the most difficulty being placed. Since they already have the challenge of finding a Forever or Foster Home, they have less chance due to their misleading kennel behaviour. Ironically, larger dogs are often the easiest to care for and the impressively gentle once in a loving home environment.
While many of the dogs get along extremely well with other dogs and felines, there a few that have dog and cat issues. Their options are limited. Special Foster Families that can provide a Foster Home for these dogs are rare and urgently required.
If you have room in your heart and home to foster, please review the information at

Please spread the word about rescue dogs. If you are currently a 1-dog or 1-cat home, please consider the benefits of a 2nd companion for both you and your pet. If you, or anyone you know, is considering adding a pet to your family, please adopt from an Animal Rescue. There are so many amazing dogs and cats waiting for the comfort of a loving home!
This plug is written and posted by a person who has had the amazing experience of fostering rescue dogs...with a house full of love from animals that give us unconditional love and affection. It rewards our family with a warm heart, knowing that we're giving deserving animals the comfort of a loving and warm home, and helping to find them their Forever Home.
Ours was once a 1-dog home. There was a time when we thought that another dog would mean more work, and divided love and affection. We will never be a 1-dog home again. The companionship the animals provide to us and each other is priceless, and ironically multiple pets are less work (except at scooping-time). The animals play with each other to spend their energy, making quiet time more tranquil than ever before.
