Hello everyone. I have created this group as a place for those of us here in Brandon who are Buddhist to gather together and to learn and practice together. It is also open to anyone who may be interested in Buddhism or just have a curious mind! For the last few years I have been attending the Manitoba Buddhist Temple in Winnipeg as often as I can however I think it would be nice to have a group here in Brandon where we can support one another and learn and practice together as an informal Sangha. I have a number of resources that I am excited to share! I will attempt to make regular posts here on the group and I am in the process of finding a meeting place so that any interested people could meet and practice together in person. If you have any questions please feel free to post or to private message me!

I've just recently started into a practice of mindful meditation. I know it's become this trendy thing but it was recommended to me. In my research into mindful meditation I came across some readings on Buddhism and have started to read up on it. I'm curious and if you're open to beginners I'd like to see if it's for me.

Always open to beginners! I still consider myself a beginner, there is so much to learn! I look forward to getting to learn from each other!

I would be interested in attending your group when you get it going, just for curiosity really. Buddhism has always intrigued me.

This is something that has intrigued me as well. With my empath personality I have such a hard time meditating and would love to learn more.

It is great to see so much interest. I am hoping to have a place to meet and to start meeting by the second week of February. I will be trying to put a daily post here in the forum as often as possible as well.

Meeting up.

Hello. To anyone interstellar in meeting up and discussing Buddhism, the dharma etc. I am planning to finally holding a meet up. This will take place on Saturday June 11. I am hoping it will be a nice meet and greet and was thinking of Coffee Culture as a place to meet. Anyone interested is welcome.
