I’m in the West End just finished my 3 rd shovelling. Looks like about 10 inches so far here!

at the snow clearing map. On the left side they list routes by number but on the map the sections are alphabetical. Clear as mud!

I think in the south end we had just over 7 inches of snow

If you click on the number it will highlight priority 1, or 2, or whichever they are working on

I just posted a pic from the backyard on 10th East. Taken on Monday, March 5th at 5:45pm. I know some snow has been melting, but this is the accumulation from this snowfall so far... 16cm.

but how can I find out what zone I'm in? I put in my address but it comes up it can locate!

Just select the routes until the area your home is in is teal. Then that's your area route showing the P1 streets. The letter is for the residential zones.

I just again! put my address in and it comes up 'can't locate address'. the map doesn't show any street address does it? or wtf am I doing wrong?

know where you live on the map? Just select the routes till one is shows your area.  
 
But from past conversations, if I remember you live near the 10th St 7-11, so that puts you in Route 3 for P1 routes and Area A for residential.  
 
Route 3 runs between 1st and 18th, Victoria to Richmond.

But why doesn't my address show up? I'm going to have another look see!  
 
The map tells me nada! Can't even have the major streets listed? wth kind of map is that?

you zoom right in you can see street names plus house numbers over each property. Typing in each address I get the information. When zoomed in, you can select any of the coloured lines and see the Route and Zone information.  
 
Not sure what your doing wrong? Do you have the layers turned on under the layers tab? But all the information is on that map.  
 
Route 3 plowing is also in progress.

names. Maybe I can't search, don't know enough about computers... I press on zoom to get a screen without all the coloured lines but no streets shown! If not for the rail road tracks I wouldn't even know it was my area!

that weird! I just was able to search my home on this map.

Initially though this map would be great.  
 
I can usually find my way around a map fairly well but imo this city snow clearing map is next to useless to me. The info section lacks info imo and the map isn’t a true picture of what is going on out there.  
 
What’s the difference between “in progress” and “partially cleared”? Isn’t a partially cleared area actually IN progress and vice versa or do they leave an area partially cleared and move on to another area then the new area is considered in progress?

What is the point to having the layers options? I click on back lanes for our area to see if the lanes have been cleared and the map shows “not cleared”. I look outside. The lanes have been cleared. I see it with my own eyes. Why have an option to use that isn’t accurate? If I’m suppose to click on back lanes and click on another option, then tell me that in the info section. I thought the map was updated as areas were cleared? These lanes are clear but the map says they are not cleared. How is this useful to anyone? (FYI, garbage trucks are getting through lanes, just not up the hills)  
 
Why are some sections red while others are blue and/or pink with pink backlanes? Is there a coloured legend map I’m missing? Click on Priority 1 and everything is pink and red and blue. ? Is there a significance to the colouring?  
 
I don’t get the purpose of the “see the graders” option. Unless they’re on my block or clearing a route for me to get to where I’m going, I have no use for this. What's the point?  
 
Unless someone can show me the value of having this map, it’s just a waste of tax payer dollars imo and would love to find out how many (wo)man hours this “gem” cost to get up and running. If information isn’t accurate or if there is information missing, not updated, I find this of no value. Easy enough to say "don't use the map if you don't like it." As a tax payer, I am disappointed with the time and money was spent on it when I find it useless.  
 
How is this helping the rest of you? All you can see is what area the graders might be in and what area might be partially cleared or in progress. I just don’t get the purpose.

Please explain how a route can be "in progress" yet all three graders are nowhere near our "in progress area"?  
 
I'd also like to know what is the difference between "in progress" and "partially cleared".  
 
I thought I was out but took a look again this morning because I have undying hope that my tax dollars will eventually go toward something that is helpful to me.

It seems as if there is no clearing going on at all!!

Can anyone explain the city's street snow clearing map to me. Please.  
 
Why is the city clearing residential zones when they still have two snow routes that haven't been cleared?  
 
If the city is going to "provide" us with a map, help us make sense of it.  
 
I can't make heads or tails of what is going on with this city and how they do things.

The city snow clearing map is one of those things where you need to read between the lines.  
 
The Snow Route states "in progress" when they start clearing and then when they clear the snow route, they transfer that & change it up to "partially cleared" in the Residential Route even though they haven't started clearing the residential area. It's just to portray that they are getting to your street when in reality the only thing they have done in your area is clear the snow routes.  
 
We know the city reads this and we're reaching out asking them to make this map more accurate and include more information. Colour legend would help. We still have no idea what all the colours mean. We're would really like to see what "in progress and "partially cleared" means and when these take effect in the process.  
 
BTW, can't believe we're having to dodge ice pack mounds everywhere. Lower the grader blade? We don't know but things certainly weren't cleared evenly. What is the cause of that?  
 
And thanks City of Brandon, we just had to back up 3/4 block because someone's car was hung up on snow because the road is two deep ruts.  
 
We still have to pay our property taxes on time so we don't get nailed with interest, right?
