So the myth goes if it’s windy on Good Friday which it was you will get 40 days of wind. This year I’m keeping track. So far counting today it’s now 16 days with serious wind. 24 more to go.

I'm done with all of this wind. Makes it tougher to enjoy being outside.

There's also the folklore that the weather on Ember Days (which occur once a quarter) will foretell the weather for the next 3 months.  
 
The last set of Ember Days was March 13, 15 & 16.  
 
March 13 was windy with close to average temps.  
 
March 15 was not as windy, but cooler.  
 
March 16 was somewhere in between temp wise, with average winds.  
 
None of those days had any significant precipitation.

Except this is now day 35 after Good Friday. So 5 days to go.  
 
Of course if you don’t count the days consecutively you can get up to 40 days of wind. But that could take 3 months and that’s not how the old wives tale myth goes.

I mowed my grass yesterday and oh man - I was covered in dirt/grass by the time I was done (2.5hours of mowing). My eyes feel like sandpaper today. Yep it can stop blowing anytime
