We are northwest of Brandon along the transcanada highway about 5 minutes west, and we got 1 and a half inches here at the yard-welcomed!

I am almost an hour south of Brandon. The rain gauge wasn't totally upright when I went and checked it, LOL. But there were 9 tenths in it!

3/4", but by the sounds of it coming down during the night I expected more, but then there would be water standing in the fields so this is perfect, except for the wind today, my goodness.

My gauge is in inches so that’s what you’ll get from me too. We got just over an inch 10 miles east of Brandon.

Metric system is pretty easy ... but, I was well into my adulthood when it was implemented. I can visualize what an inch and a half is without problem. You tell me 36.32 mm and I have to think about it a bit. It's a whole lot easier for this old fart to talk in inches.

Besides all that, my rain gauge reads in inches.

Metric System

Sentence structure has been around a lot longer than the metric system. It's not that hard TLR. LOL.
