March 11 or April 11, most folks know the drill but FWIW in the ECCC weather database that I’ve downloaded there are a total of 189 days since 1941 later than April 10 and before September that had snow recorded at Brandon. Works out to an average of a little more than twice per year... granted that will also include a good share of days where snow melted on contact and didnt necessarily accumulate. Getting more than 10cm in a day this late in the season would be a lot more rare… its happened only 12 times since 1941 or once every approx 6 1/2 years.
It sounds like the system next week will be spread out over a couple days, but if we do happen to see more than 20cm in a day that’s only happened this late twice… 23.2cm on April 27, 1984 and 20.3cm April 13, 1953.
If for fun we want to talk May, there have been 56 days since 1941 that there's been snow including 9.4cm on May 3, 1991.... but lets all agree not go there :)
