Here are some long weekend ideas with the prediction of heavy rain. Feel free to add.  
 
Put your chia pets outside and watch them grow really fast. See if the Chia tweety will grow faster than Chia scooby.  
 
Get out the slip n slide and make a crazy eight maze.  
 
Make mud pies and cakes. Decorate with leaves. Spider web icing optional.  
 
Save on water, shower outside. Don't forget to condition.  
 
Take a walk dressed up in a Paddington bear yellow plastic mack and a really thick pair of eye goggles. With glee tell the people at the bus stop that you found out how they get the caramel in the chocolate bar. Hand out complimentary bars to everyone.  
 
Get out a brand new bottle of dish soap (the big bulk kind) and use every last drop on the yard. Watch the rain fall create a big bubbly soup and then jump in and yell. Tell everyone that the neighbor's poodle is foaming at the mouth.  
 
Sit on the front steps wearing water wings. Pretend to fly when cars pass. Pout when you don't succeed then laugh it off.  
 
If you have to go to work wear a really ugly bathing suit and headcap. Pretend you are sick and blame it on the rain.  
 
Put out your sprinkler full blast while you hose the shrubs. Neighbors will think you drank too much cough medicine and rum.  
 
Fill the yard with different containers to catch the rain. Example: pails, tuppaware, bowls, basins, wine glasses, old toilets. Arrange them in an obsessive compulsive fashion. Leave them out for the next rain.  
 
Pretend you are Mary Poppins with your umbrella as you fall out of a tree. Costume is opitional.  
 
Bundle up in all your outdoor winter gear and tell everyone the rain is to turn to snow later on in the day.
