Does anyone know what the #1 highway is like right now headed east (Brandon to Winnipeg)?

This stretch is very doable. On it right now. Some blowing, not much for snow coverage on road or drifts. Was the worst just west of Portage with reduced visibility but not unpassable. Can still see traffic in front.
Hope this helps! But remember, it changes quickly!

Thanks for the replies. I headed out past Headingly to have a look, and decided to turn around and go home. Very blustery and a steady stream of blowing snow and reduced visibility. The road itself was ok, but snow drifts were forming in my lane already.

Also, I see now that the #1 highway from Winnipeg to Portage is now closed.

Says rain then 5-10 cm of snow. Yikes.

To make matters worse the news post a story of cherry blossoms blooming in BC.
