..Freezing rain this morning..
A spring storm system developing over southern Saskatchewan is tracking towards North Dakota, bringing a variety of wintery weather across southern Saskatchewan and Manitoba. A band of freezing rain is expected to move into southeast Saskatchewan and southwest Manitoba early this morning before the precipitation changes to wet snow or rain.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to storm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #MBStorm.
