Has anyone else noticed the updates on this site to be very slow or way behind?

They will only update when there is a change in road conditions. No changes....no update.

i find the site incredibly slow to update therefor making it almost useless  
 
yesterday while most of the roads were closed it took at least 2 hours from when the radio was reporting #2 closed to when it showed up on the map, while the radio is great they dont always announce when i want the info so i go to 511 for it, or i would if it were updated regularly  
 
after that, i checked before l left work to go home, now i realize conditions weren't great but i live south and it had sounded like the storm was a bit more towards Brandon, neither the radio was reporting issues on the 10 south(just north) nor the 511 map so i decided to give it a try, roads were snow packed but good until souris valley hill, were several semis and cars were stuck at various points either side of the river, the large tow truck was already there making me believe that it had been at least like that for an hour, on the south side the roads turned to near zero visibility with heavy drifts yet by the time i was home i checked the map and according to it 10S was still open, i phoned in to inform them that no cars, or semis were getting past that hill with cars being across the road creating a dangerous situation and i was informed they knew and sent an rcmp out to close the road but it still took [b]another hour[/b] to list the road closed  
 
i had also phoned the radio station so it would be announced but they did not really understand or report the severity of the situation  
 
really we do need a better quicker system to update that map if it is to be used as an accurate tool

Says that number 10 south has not been updated since 7 this morning. That is a long wait for a main hwy to have no updated info.

I was goign to stay in town after work when I saw that 10 south had been closed since 3 in the afternoon yesterday. on a hunch, i went out and checked it in person, road was freshly cleared and the drive was leisurely with great visibility and only the same old ice i'd been driving on the last few days.  
This am I checked before work, STILL no update since yesterday 3pm. I ended up staying home since

Listener said "Says that number 10 south has not been updated since 7 this morning. That is a long wait for a main hwy to have no updated info. "

seeing the wind down here i assume the 10 is still closed but since i know how long it took to update to closed it might take a while until its updated when it is open :/

As Scamp said above. If there's no change in the status then they don't update. I checked at 3.05 and it said that Hwy 1 opened at 2.53. A few minutes later there were semi trucks heading east on Hwy 1. Seemed pretty quick to update to me.

It says right on the website that it only updates when there's something to update, and only when there's someone around to do the updating.  
 
"Please note that this report is only updated when staff observe and report conditions. The department does not provide 24 hour reporting of highways. Please be alert for changing conditions. Actual conditions may vary from those reported."

Looks like #10 south and the #1 are now open, so everyone get going home before it gets too dark
