Chance of a storm

What do you think are our chances of a storm later today, without consulting a weather report.
Was outside wandering around and it sort of felt that the weather may act up, even with the wind blowing it feels close, also the old saying of no dew at first light means rain by night might hold true.
Anyone else have thoughts on how it feels this morning.

That's about as warm as you'll feel it at 8am on this side of Dubai
I do know that by tomorrow they've been expecting the heat to be dialled down at least a notch. That kind of change from a hot day to a not-quite-as-hot day often means fireworks somewhere in the area. Now off to check the weather report ;)

Stepped outside around 7:30am and already felt like I needed to work shorts. Definitely going to be a scorcher today. Stay warm and hydrated. I think it will rain in the evening and cool it off a bit, but I think the big storm they've been calling for is going to pass over us. Guess we'll see.

Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for:

City of Brandon
Mun. of Glenboro-South Cypress incl. Treesbank
Mun. of Norfolk Treherne
Mun. of North Cypress-Langford incl. Neepawa and Carberry
Mun. of North Norfolk incl. MacGregor Sidney and Austin
Mun. of Oakland-Wawanesa incl. Carroll
R.M. of Cornwallis west of Shilo incl. Chater
R.M. of Elton incl. Forrest
R.M. of Victoria incl. Holland and Cypress River
Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.

A cold front will trigger thunderstorms later this afternoon as it slices into an unstable airmass that is situated over southwestern Manitoba. Some of these thunderstorms will become severe.

The severe weather threat is then expected to shift towards the Red River Valley this evening.

Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Very strong wind gusts can damage buildings, down trees and blow large vehicles off the road. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Be prepared for severe weather. Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

Last night already I said it is too calm & too warm. You can tell something is up.

Some rain would be nice, but high temps, high winds, and lightning I would be happy doing without.

For a smoke around 2 a.m. this morning and seriously thought I would wake up to a thunderstorm.
I agree, fall is best. I hate this suffocating heat, and there is three more months of it. So gross.

Starting to see some development in Westman on radar (link below). The only worthy of warnings as of now appear to be to the Northwest (Plumas, Arden):
