I am contiplating upgrading my phone, however I don’t want to loose my plan , which leaves me with 2 options, either buy a new phone outright or a used one , my question is if I go used how am I sure it’s unlocked and in good condition,as well I see phones for sale that are bought and then posted for sale, what’s the logic in this. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

You can buy reconditioned phones with warranty off Amazon. I just bought a 32GB iPhone 6S for my daughter for Christmas off there for $140. Way less than people are asking on buy and sell sites from what I have seen. My son also bought a 64GB iPhone 6S for $180 off Amazon. Perfectly fine if you are ok with not having the latest model. That’s the way I will be going in future because if I upgrade, I will have to go with one of the new unlimited plans and my shared bill with my daughter will go from $125 a month to $200. Not happening!

Whatever you do please do not get Bell MTS phone. They treat their customers like shit. I signed with Rogers over past 5 years and have never been happier. I have BellMTS for my cable/interent which I am happy with but I will NEVER sign with MTS again. Rogers treats their customers like people. MTS doesn't give a crap.

Very few people want to buy an Iphone6. They are 4 years old.

For some people a model that is 4 years old is fine. Doesn’t bother me one bit as long as it does everything it is supposed to do. I would rather pay $100-200 for an older phone vs $1000 for the latest model. Older models are perfect for a teenager’s first phone or for someone like my son who had a habit of dropping phones into various pieces of agricultural equipment!

We are Telus and have had no problems with service through the park to Dauphin.

As of yesterday switched two phones to Rogers. Were with Mts and trued to stay but horrible customer service and would have cost more. Checked out Telus as well. Hoping Rogers is better. We had always been with MTS.

Been a BellMTS customer since day one when cell phones came out, but a couple weeks ago made the switch. Went to Rogers and Telus in the mall but both were very busy. Walked by the Virgin kiosk and got talking to them and they seemed to have a very good deal, so made the move. Where I work, close to #1 and 16, virtually no service with BellMTS, but now that I am with Virgin (which uses BellMTS towers) I have LTE service at work! Also the signal was very poor from that intersection to MacGregor, but now much better with Virgin. Not Rogers or Telus, but happy so far with the change.
