How do I move pictures from my iphone to desktop pc easier? Sometimes after I click the DCIM file for the individual folders it doesn't show any pictures. Or the connection seems to stop working for no reason and won't let pictures transfer. Or there are duplicate photos created (will be the same file number but with 'E' in front of it).  
 
It is so frustrating that I cant just select and move the photos from my phone to the computer. Can anyone give me advice? Or is there a business in Brandon that can move photos from your phone to an external hard drive for you?

I often have these issues as well. I’ve done a fair amount of research and these seem to be fairly common issues with iPhone-PC transfer. Here is what I have found works:  
-unplug the iPhone from the PC if files are not showing up in the DCMI folder. Sometimes I have to do this several times.  
-lock and re-enter iPhone password while commented to the PC. This also seems to help, I’m not sure if the computer isn’t recognizing the iPhone but unlocking an opening it several times seems to do the trick  
-if you are having trouble with the pictures transferring, such as if it loses connection, this always seems to be more of a PC problem and a restart of the computer usually helps

I use the Dropbox App. Your pictures upload to Dropbox and then downloads to your PC. Just keep it synced and you don't have to worry trying to hook it up to your PC.

I took iphone to apple store they did not fix the issue.  
I took computer and iphone to our local computer place they did not fix the issue.  
 
I now use google pics  
It works and you can get pics from many sources. until your storage is full and you have to buy storage.  
I did not like drop box even though many people swear by it.  
 
I am not sure if it was the series of iphone that stopped transferring to computers. or why yours would let you until 2 years after mine quit.  
 
Isn't technology fun if you do not understand it?!

Turn on icloud in your phone turn on upload photo stream in your phone  
install icloud on your pc sign in, and all your photos will download to your pc also when your iphone is connected to your home wifi it will upload to the icloud and sync back to your pc.  
if you have alot of photos filling up your phone you can turn on optimize photos and then they all move to the icloud and you can still see them on your phone. Icloud only gives so much free storage so if you dont have enough you may have to buy storage at a cost of 1.29 per month for 50 Gigabytes. this information provided by Traci from ealingpc.com located in Souris MB .

If I have picture in my iPhone I want on my computer I email the pic to myself, open the email in my pc, open the pic and then save it to my pc. Also new iPhone pics are in some fancy new format that is not compatible with for example Walmart photo. You can go into your camera settings and change to the older format.
