I live in the general vicinity of downtown bordering the east end. Though the Telus signal has always been strong enough to never cause any issues (served by the Princess Towers mast I assume), it's always been around 2 to 3 bars maximum.
Which was why I was quite surprised to see 3 of my gadgets recently start picking up almost full to full signal strength. Though I hadn't thought much of it, the Canadian cell tower map (of which I was looking at for other reasons) shows a Telus tower. In the former Shell parking lot : / .
I know that this map isn't 100% accurate as it represents repeaters in the Shoppers Mall and the Keystone as towers as well.
I'm just curious. Does Telus also have equipment on a manner that is just mislabeled? Or is someone around here using a booster that's somehow covering the entire neighbourhood?
