Great news to every MTS and Rogers customer in Manitoba, Rogers and MTS have announced a partnership to bring HSDPA 3G wireless to all over Manitoba, Rogers/MTS are splitting the costs equally and this will allow MTS' access to Rogers phone lineup (similar to the Sprint deal), as well as allow MTS customers to access the vast Rogers network across Canada, as well as giving MTS/Rogers customers in Manitoba access to HSDPA 3.5G services that we haven't seen before, they will be matching the current complete MTS/Rogers coverage area, so by late 2010, we will see HSDPA service in every corner of the province, from Melita to lake of the Woods, to Thompson and beyond!
After all the bickering in the Rogers 3G thread, this is amazing news, in toronto MTS has also announced plans for "HSDPA+" for Toronto and I think a few other places, allowing for data speeds up to 21mbps.
Just imagine, a year from now being an MTS customer and owning an iPhone, or being a Rogers customer and being able to make phone calls outside of Brandon with ease
