Problems receiving texts on MTS phone(s)?

A friend is having problems receiving text messages on their MTS phone... messages sent yesterday evening still haven't been received, yet they're able to send perfectly fine. After running a test through MTS's text messaging gateway at
http://text.mts.net I get the message:
Mobile [number removed] is not available. Delivery of message #192813 postponed. An attempt to send a message through the gateway to another MTS number comes up with the same message.
Anyone else experiencing this problem, and if this is something widespread has anyone heard what might be going on?
