MTS Cell Phone Lineup

Howdy!
So, I foolishly signed onto a three year data plan with MTS and chose the HTC Touch Diamond as my device. After being through two batteries, two chargers, and one trip to warranty repair, I am thoroughly disappointed with the device.
Because I do not wish to sign into another 3 year data plan (and the novelty of having one has worn off, to be honest), I am looking to buy out my current contract and switch back to a voice only phone.
MTS Loyalty has offered to cut my cancellation fee in half providing I sign at least a new two year agreement. I'm fine with that. In dropping the data plan, I will actually be saving over $500 over the next two years even with my cancellation fee.
My question to you folks is.. which MTS voice-only phone do you have from the current lineup, why do you like it, and what would you recommend?
Even though it's been around for quite a few years and is likely going to be dropped from the product line.. I've got my eye on the Motorola KRZR K1M... any suggestions?
