I know the cell phone topic has been beaten to death here, but being as there are so many variations of phones and phone plans and carriers I for one am  
still in the dark as what to do when my contract runs out next week?  
Here are my questions. Any help will be appreciated.  
What is the main difference between a smart phone and a non smart phone?  
I do not make very many long distance calls but am more eager to try texting what are my best options?  
I am currently with Rogers and have a Samsung cheap cell phone which has it's limitations. I've been with Rogers for almost 3 years. If I stay with them will they upgrade my phone and if so what would the costs be? Free?  
Surfing the internet is not a neccessity for me unless ther is a budget freindly plan for this. As far as a camera on the phone I could care less about that option.  
So, Who has the plan for me? If it means keeping my same number I would stay with Rogers.
