    I was going to cancel my home phone when I got a smart phone (so now my wife and I both have cells) but realized we can't do that because of our home security system needing the hard-wired phone line.  
    My question is, does anyone know if there is a security company that will work with just a cellphone telephone number?

    Call your current provider. If they don't have cellular options, switch to basically any other one.

    I don't know for sure but I think the mts internet same way so they give you a phone number and hook ur internet up if it works same way can't see you needing a phone we don't have one

    Our security system goes off cell towers so don't need a landline! If one cell tower is down it use the other, pretty amazing system
