I'm looking for other people's experience with this. I currently have MTS lightning internet at home (don't live in Brandon) and tested my download speed and it's less than 2 Mbps. My iPhone is thru MTS as well and I have the unlimited data and tethering option. At home I tested the download speed and its over 20 Mbps. My question is does anyone use their phone to tether for streaming videos etc at home?? I'm thinking of dropping the internet at home and just use my iPhone to tether. I have hit the "MTS fair usage" limit before, but never checked my download speed, but I'm guessing it couldn't be worse than my existing home internet d/l speed? Thoughts??

We tether to our phones for internet. The advantage is internet with great speeds (we get LTE) and it's free when you consider we only pay for our cell plans. Disadvantage is we are capped at 16GB per month. That's plenty for us but not enough to download movies or steam tv shows. You also don't have wifi in the house.
