Well I am not sure how the speeds could be that much better on Telus. Maybe you just hate MTS as much as I do and are relieved you no longer have to use them?
Also I doubt you can switch on your own and get the unlimited deal since they don't offer that. However if you were even half ass good in negotiating its probably not that hard to get them to extend that offer to you if they actually want to be a growing business in Manitoba.
Last you don't HAVE to switch. You don't have to do anything. They can't force you. That'd be like Shaw telling me "hey buddy you got to get Westman now we don't want you anymore".
Selling MTS to Bell they were told and agreed to sell about a quarter of MTS monthly contract wireless customers over to Telus. So basically they are telling about 100,000 to move to Telus. You don't have to go to Telus but I have heard they are offering some pretty sweet incentives to their new customers coming over. Again if you are half ass good at negotiating you could probably score a pretty sweet deal.
