Messed Up GPS Location
8/14/2017 at 12:28 PM
I recently was transitioned over to Telus from MTS. Though I am still in the initial month, so far so good. In fact, better in terms of both speed and signal strength (at least on this side of the river. Have yet to get to the hill).
I do have one odd issue though. Though the location feature was spot on before for the most part, since the switch, it tends to be off by as much as a block or 2.
Something I noticed after noting the geotag in some photos. That and Facebook said it looked like I was at Dinsdale Park, even though I was clear across the water plus 2 blocks.
It's nothing that inconveniences me (at least here in town). But one question I had was if it could also send skewed data to the E911 center should such a call be placed.
Yes, presumably you give the details. But in the off chance you can't, one would hope they don't end up a block or 2 away. Or across town.
This may not be a common (or fixable) issue. But I am curious none the less.
