Sign on the door reads "temporarily closed." Chatted with a gentleman inside and I gather same location with reopen next week under different management.

I understand that the larger Telus store (previously an MTS store) is going to be undergoing renovations and so they will be temporarily moving into the smaller store. Once those renovations are complete they will move back to the larger store and the smaller one will be no more. I gather this would have been in the works for a while as part of the Bell purchase of MTS and the terms around it. Makes sense to me as I didn't see the purpose of having two Telus stores in the same mall. Thoughts are with those who will be without a job as a result, with their experience I hope there are options with one of the other stores in the industry in Brandon!

I was told that the "smaller" store was owned/managed by Corp and will be shutting down.

So its closing and staff are being laid off. There are a couple in the province that are closing. The other Telus in the mall is privately owned.
