I am looking to see if there is a computer tech/iPhone genius out there that can help me! My iPhone SE just shut off about 3 weeks ago. I took it to Apple and they did all their tests and cracked the phone open to tell me that it is a manufacturer problem and there was nothing that could be done.  
 
They gave me the option of sending my phone to the states to pay a minimum of $700 to have the company TRY to get my photos off the phone. It is my fault for not backing up, I know that.  
 
I'm wondering if there is anyone around here that would be willing to try to get my photos off of there that won't charge me an arm & a leg for it.

Are you absolutely positive nothing backed up to iCloud?  
Try, just in case.  
iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID from a computer.  
If nothing, try to download and install iTunes on a computer and try to put your SE into RECOVERY MODE.  
 
Recovery mode:  
Have iTunes running on your computer  
Plug in lighting connector to computer (but not phone)  
Push and hold home button and keep pushing it as you plug your phone into the computer via lightning cable  
Hold home button down until screen hopefully comes on.

If the phone won't turn on ... there's not much chance you'll be able to get your info, unfortunately. Apple encrypts everything on the chip, which is decrypted when it's turned on and the passcode is entered. If you can get it fixed to turn on and get the photos off it's your best bet.

Did you get any indication as to what part of the cell phone was buggered? There are places that should be a bit cheaper than a Apple recommended vendor that you can send it too. Just don''t send it to some Chinese repair shop. Make sure to do your research. Check out link below

I’ve had really good luck with A/V Electronics in Portage la Prairie with iPhone problems. You can mail your phone to them for repairs. Call them at 204-239-4020 to ask if they can help you out.
