Replacement RV awning fabric

I’m just curious where people of Westman have purchased replacement RV awning fabric from? I’m guessing most replacements have been insurance jobs because of hail etc but I’m looking at replacing mine after 12 years of service and that wind we had yesterday finished it off. I’ve looked on line and most places are in the US, looking for some recommendations, thanks!!!

Just a suggestion (I do not own an rv). Did you check with any upholstery shops in town, or the RV centres? They may be able to help. Good luck.

We bought ours at PikaDilly. They have to order it in, you can chose from different colours. Our awning frame was good, just need new canvas. Three of us put it up. One holding it up and one pulling it through and one directing/holding it all. Just a hint, we sprayed Pam in the metal part, and that made it easier to pull it through.

Just go to a RV Dealer and they can order you one -you just need the width of your awning that you have. Or if you are going to change it yourself -go on Amazon.ca and order one!

We bought ours on Amazon.ca. It’s on its 4th year and still looks great.
The spring in the roller can be dangerous, I suggest watching YouTube videos to learn how to replace it properly.

I ordered ours online a couple years ago from the US and had it delivered to border services, it was less than $200 with the exchange. Get a price locally if you can but that’s an idea of what the American purchase was for us

If your rv is insured though MPIC you can make a claim for a new awning as the damage was caused by the wind.

Went to Lens RV. It was completed in one day and ready for us to pick up. Around the 300.00 mark.

Had bad experience there...please check the reviews on Google before going. I wish I could post my experience but if I did it would get removed.

Yes I agree with this. However, and a big however, your going to take a big tariff now.

Since July 1st, you will have the pay tariffs/duties on anything you bring over the border.

I feel sorry for those that live near the border and go to Bottineau for shopping for the day.

As others suggested go to a Rv dealer and get a quote. Also make a insurance claim. Even if you pay the deductible and a prorated fee due to the age of the awning it may be cheaper to go the insurance route. Plus then you don't have tge headache of replacing the fabric yourself. The springs and tensioners can be tricky.
