where is the best place to buy a laptop in Brandon...It seems since covid started , it is hard to find a good one at a reasonable price...prices seem to have doubled...

I bought a refurbished one from Brandon Computers on 18th street near M&M's.  
 
I am very happy with my purchase, I got it well over a year ago and it has not given me any trouble.  
 
I also got a much nicer laptop than I would have if I bought a brand new one for the same price.  
 
I highly recommend them, they are knowledgeable and bonus that it is a local business.

Yes, I agree Geekz is good. I have one I bought from them...I phoned them, and they said they are not selling any laptops at this time, because they can't sell at a reasonable price due to the demand from covid, so they are only doing maintenance and warranty right now...I was disappointed because I was happy with their service.

Last one I bought we at best buy. I waited for them to go on sale. I was also very particular on what I wanted. DVD rw, at least 3 usb ports. It's been over a year since I bought mine may be by Christmas there will be better sales or at least cyber Monday.  
 
I notice that things really don't go on sale much anymore especiall7 toilet paper or least have deals like they used to have! Lol  
 
Good luck in your hunt hope you find what you want! I find an acer is a good dependable brand and they last longer than most laptops my last one lasted 7 years only upgraded because my cat broke the screen twice so I decided to upgrade. It still works when I hook it to the tv. Gotta keep the cat!

Geekz is still selling refurbished laptops as long as they're able to get them in (they do currently have stock).  
New laptops can be ordered in, but much of the time the "big box stores" have a sale on something that can't be touched for price, so it's not worth having new ones sitting on the shelf.  
They still sell laptops at Geekz though, yes!

Staples or order one from Costco online.
