This was a tough year weather-wise for the annual Brandon city-wide yard sales on May 24 & 25 (east of 18th Street) and May 31 & June 1 (west of 18th Street).  
 
I am not a City employee but my family has participated over these past three years as either sellers or buyers and experienced some frustration with both. I'm hoping this thread might serve as a place to give feedback to the City when making plans for future years.  
 
So ... what did you like about this year's experience and what would you suggest needs to be changed?

I'm going to start with a few observations from this year when we attended sales.  
- Love the maps with addresses.  
- A Saturday/Sunday might work better since very few people on the maps were open on Friday.  
- Grass on the medians was so high that we couldn't read the yard sale signs. Maybe the City could arrange to have the medians on the main roads cut before the sales?

1. I found the maps to be extremely difficult to print off in a manner that was legible.  
 
2. I stopped at five homes that were listed on the maps that didn’t actually have sales. Very frustrating.  
 
All in all though……..as a buyer, I thoroughly enjoyed the sales. So many sales could Ben attended fairly quickly!
