King David's mom. I have not read all the posts but I wanted to put my 2 cents in. My kids go to the same school. The list is very specific and all brand name foods(Quaker, Christie, General Mills etc). Not everyone buys brand name food!!!
I do think the school should have done a better job about relaying the information to the parents. My kids came home and said no more bread and handed me the list!! One teacher told the kids it is a matter of life or death, do you really want to see a child poked with a needle and sent to the hospital.....alot of pressure on the students I think! My kids are so worried now that if they eat something they are going to be the one that send this child to the hospital.
I have talked with lots of parents about this new snack list. No one wants to see this child get sick, but they wonder where the line will be drawn.
