My partner and I will be moving across town at the end of the month- from downtown to the west end- and are looking for some assistance in getting our stuff from point A to point B.  
 
Had Howard's write up a quote for us (if we were to pack everything, and they were to move it), and it was way the heck outside of my price range ($1500!!!) I never realized it was that expensive to have the contents of a two bedroom apartment moved a couple dozen blocks.  
 
Does anyone have any suggestions on who I should give a call to? By the time my family drives in from out of town to help with the move, we're looking at a $300 gas bill. We're both students working after school hours, and we don't have much time or money to work with.  
 
Any suggestions!? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
