I would like to buy a couple of high quality chamois for when I'm washing the car. Also, any tips about how to most effectively use the chamois would be appreciated.

They sell a chamois called the absorber and also have the absorber xl the come in a round plastic container and are the best chamois I have used and last as well

They have professional micro fiber chamois that are the best I have ever used and are washable and wont scratch your car.

Get a jelly/water blade. They literally just flick water off. I've never used anything that worked as quick as this type of product and used to wash cars for about a year at a new car dealership.

I bought an Absorber at the end of last summer. Seems to work okay but my biggest complaint is that it is really grippy. You have to really hang on tight and push a little harder. I'll try it for a while but I might return to the same kind that Giant Car Wash uses. They're a synthetic chamois and are pretty durable.

These are by far the best. A lot more expensive than others but quality and longevity are far superior.  
Yes they are really grippy and stick, until you break it in.  
I work at a car wash and use it everyday.  
And I bought mine over a year ago.  
Only thing I can recommend. Don't keep in the container as it will begin to smell.

I use the large towel version lots love them .  
 
Do not wash dry them with bounce or a softener of any sorts.  
 
After a wash I use a so called jelly blade. Large Floppish and needs to be wiped every third or fourth wipe. Yet far faster than the California blade.  
 
The real key is to get rid of the excess water fast before spitting starts.  
 
Then I use whatever microfiber towel or cloth I have near by or clean.  
 
Natural chamois are okay but are more work to maintain.  
 
The Tire is one place to buy but I never did see the Jelly blades or tge large microfiber towels.

Yes they can be washed.  
I put mine in with the laundry. But like all other car care stuff don't use fabric softener.  
Don't put it in the dryer. Return it to the container to dry. Or lay flat to dry.
