When you went wedding dress shopping how many people went with you ?

When I went shopping I had all my bridesmaids and flower girl as well as my mom. I did try on some dresses with just my mom before the wedding party girls got there.

Ask the shop how many people they allow in the fitting room before taking a whole army. I've been to a private fitting that only allowed 2. Depends on the place.

i only went with my maid of honor

4 bridesmaids, a flower girl and my mom. They were also trying on bridesmaid dresses while we were there. This was at promises bridal in Brandon and Fay was wonderful to work with! I bought my dress and we purchased the bridesmaid dresses there as well!

That was it. She was paying and it was the only opinion that mattered :-)

I went wedding dress shopping 3 times: once with just my maid of honour, once with my mom, bridesmaid and a friend and then finally by myself. I can tell you that it was fun having people there and I would recommend taking 3-5 people the first time. After that and once you have an idea of what you want only take one or two people that will be open and tell you the truth. I found that the other people I took just waited for my reaction and thoughts and didn't tell me what they actual thought. It was frustrating and annoying to the point where I went by myself and just picked one I loved.  
 
Have fun with it though! Take your time and try on as many dresses as you want! And When you find the one you'll know

For my first wedding, just my sister came with me. For my second, I ordered a dress online without any input from anyone else. Personally, I don't see what the big deal is about taking a bunch of people along to try on dresses. Not everyone is going to have the same tastes as I do, not everyone is going to like what I wear. To me, the choice of wedding dress was a personal one and I didn't need a lot of others' input.

My mom and my sister and my other bridesmaid. As someone else stated they will wait for your reaction. But in my case it really was between two dresses and I needed the help to decide, and they patiently watched me parade around for an hour debating the pros and cons of each and what we liked about them and accessorizing me until I could chose.  
 
But my advice is, a small intimate group of people who will be honest but respectful of your feelings is best. And don't feel bad if you take no one, or just your mom or someone else, it's stressful when the samples don't fit right and if you have someone who can be outspoken it can really discourage you if they hate the one you love.

I had a bit of a larger group. I had my 5 bridesmaids, my mom, step grandma, fiancé's grandma, and my future mother in law. Everyone lives across Canada and I wanted one event where everyone was together. We all had a perfect day and every store was very accommodating for my group size. I didn't have any issues with anyone. The day is about you and being surrounded by people that love you makes it so much better!! I wouldn't have gone without any of those 9 people there.
