I am wondering if there are any local stores that sell homemade items on a consignment basis?

depending on what it is, maybe lady of the lake or the refit store is now hosting the global market stuff and i see it in there so maybe them

Lady of the Lake does not. We already asked her. We have done the global market sales. Is that what you mean? Or do they have stuff inside that they sell for others?

What types of things are you making? Do you have a particular type of customer that your products would appeal to? This might help with giving suggestions on where to sell them.  
 
As another suggestion...have you tried online sales?

There is a facebook page of "Homemade in Brandon". Or maybe online at etsy. It's hard to suggest stores when not knowing what you are selling.

We do stuff with metal. We would like to do more furniture pieces but I don't want it all sitting in my basement. We are taking stuff to Virden soon as there is a place there that does it. A family member has paintings in Minnedosa at the store there but has to pay monthly regardless of sales.

im not 100% sure but it does look like the restore does have some of the global market place stuff consigned there but it was small stuff like honey ect, you could ask, other then that i have seen great success with online web pages gaining traction if the product is what people are looking for,of course you would have to store them tho, not sure how hard it is but you could try and get your pieces in furniture stores or maybe even art gallery? IDK show us a piece

Im not sure what price point you are at or how many you could make but i do think the stuff would be nice in stores at clear lake or the Station in Boissevain, I have also seen some stuff like your horseshoe items in Banff, it would be hard work im sure but if you could find as many stores that would either buy your pieces to put in their stores or take them on consignment I think people would buy them, until then tho maybe a FB page might get it out there too

I think there is a store called Lagasse, in Souris, that takes consignment items.

What store in virden does? I live here and didn't know there was one lol.

im not sure what success you've had with them but i have seen lots go through, i wondered if you paid their package fee to spam your page around if it would be worth it? any hopefully it works out for you, sounds like you're on the right track just have to keep plugging away

Never tried that yet. Might give it a try.  
 
I have contacted Souris and Minnedosa Art studios so will see if that turns into anything.

You could also try the Tiger Hills Arts Association in Cypress River.
