Is there anywhere I can find nursing bras & tanks in Brandon? I'm expecting in a few weeks and would like to have a couple items on hand for when baby arrives. Finding it hard to order online just because I'm really not 100% sure on sizing. I'm really disappointed on availability of maternity/nursing garments in Brandon - especially affordable options too.

they still have the bra section at Walmart (where they have the "wonder bras" in boxes) they used to have nursing bras in there! They're not pretty by any means, but they worked great & were cheap compared to other "high end" ones I was able to find.  
 
As for tanks, I don't even know what that is, for me all tops were nursing tops, so I'm no help sorry

Check Unique Uniforms on the corner of 13th and Park. I know she was selling maternity clothing. Otherwise Value Village was the only place I found stuff in their maternity section. Walmart no longer has one. Also check out Dressing For Two on for used items on Facebook. I never felt the need for nursing tanks: just stretchy and easily accessed ones were fine.

New Beginnings sells nursing bras.. They fit you to make sure you are in the right size.. they are like their normal bras.. top supporting!

I was going to check out new beginnings too (due in a few weeks as well) but I heard not to buy one til your milk comes in otherwise you'll get the wrong size. And at new beginnings prices I don't want to have to buy more than one! So for the first couple days I'm just going to use nursing tanks that I received as hand me downs. You can also buy nursing tanks from H&M online or in Winnipeg and they're cheap and come in 2-packs, I picked one of these up and they're easy to open and have a good shelf bra in them. Also I checked walmart but there's a sign right in the bra area that says maternity is now online only!!

would also like to say, I didn't wear nursing bras for long, I found I was much more comfortable in a crappy sports bra with no underwire. It was no less permissive to easy nursing & no fiddling with silly flaps. More leeway for changing breast sizes & held the nursing pads better, plus they're easier to wash- just chuck them in with kiddie laundry & good to go!  
 
You'll find what you like best, but as another poster said above, wait until your milk comes in before you waste a bunch of money on a bra that might be the wrong size when the time comes.

Yeah, you might want to wait before investing a lot of bras because you can change several sizes from your pre-pregnancy size once your milk is fully in.  
 
I love Bravado nursing bras and that's pretty much all I've worn since having babies/nursing. I usually wait for an online sale and then order them directly from them. Their most popular/basic nursing bra ("the original") is pretty flexible in terms of sizing, and once you settle into a size they have lots of pretty ones to chose from.  
 
Stay away from underwire if you can, as it can impact breast health while nursing.  
 
As for "nursing tops" I just wear regular clothes, but I bought a bunch of inexpensive tank-tops from Old Navy and I wear them under my shirt. So for nursing, I can just lift my shirt and then pull down the tank top, and nothing is left exposed. The tanks are like $5-7 a pop, so for the cost of a single "nursing" shirt you can basically convert your entire existing wardrobe into a "nursing wardrobe".

One mth before ur due date is the time to get bras. Plus if u wear crappy bras that will hurt ur neck and shoulders. If u don't support urself just remember gravity is not our best friend and ur boobs will start to stretch the breast tissue and then you may be left with stretchy skin. Sports bra is not the best thing to wear for more then 3 hrs at the most a day. I believe in a great supporting bra for my neck and shoulder. Don't go without a good bra due to the price then in the long run you may end up with issues in ur neck and back. You wouldn't go with crappy shoes or a crappy bed?? Why would u not do a good supporting bra?

If you search "Baby and Beyond - Brandon Boutique" on Facebook they have nursing bras and tank tops too.

I'll check out the couple places in Brandon - was hoping to try on actually as I know sizing can be so wildly different between everything. I am just truly disappointed at the lack of options in this department in Brandon.
