It says that a new location will be opened on the North Hill in the Sears Building. Anyone know what is going on with Sears.

Is likely going out of business.  
It's loosing out to Amazon, Costco, and Walmart.  
If I can find the article I just read the other day on Sears closing, I will post it for you.

Unfortunately we / Sears in Brandon are closing as of April 15th. Sears Canada will carry on, just the business model for the privately owned stores has run its course. Despite sales incrementally increasing each year, a retailer can't escape the rapidly shrinking profit margins and rising costs. Let's not look at this as "Brandon can't support....." , more the way we shop continues to change. Online shopping does contribute to fewer brick and mortar stores naturally, but it does offer a world of shopping opportunities for the consumer that never existed in the past. I would like to thank all the great customers we had, for their support over the years: lots of funny customers out there always kept us laughing and entertained each day at the store! ~ Ron
