It's difficult to compare jobs and responsibilities especially without a comprehensive understanding of what a job entails. 'Security Guards' can mean anything from armed private law enforcement to someone standing by a retail door for 8 hrs watching shoppers. Differences in qualifications, training, experience, education and responsibilities. I can't speak to wages for those positions.
But what I can speak to is that The Game Guides at Escape the Final Countdown, do not get paid to play games, actually they don't play games at all. What they do is facilitate positive customer experiences. Each one is dedicated to specific rooms and their players throughout the day. The need great customer service skills, outgoing personalities and need to be able to think on their feet.
It's a fun, interactive job and with our upcoming expansion, we need people in Brandon and Clear Lake. I'm sorry that we can't pay what you consider a decent wage of $20/hr but we don't pay minimum and have many other perks and benefits for our staff.
