Any recommendations on good, affordable places to get highlights? Haven't had before and not really wanting to spend a fortune.

Highlights will cost you upwards of $100. Spend money on someone good, not someone who will fry your hair. I suggest the girls at Alieshias.

If looking for a more economical way of getting your hair done Crocus Plains cosmo class does appts on Fridays. The cost is lesser than salons and they have a great bunch of 4th years doing hair. That's where I go and a few others I know. Gives them practise and saves you money ..win win

You could go to one of the schools. Or see Tammy at Vivid. She's apprenticing but does an awesome job and will try and save you money where she can.

I went to hairistocracy and got a hair cut, base colour and highlights for under $100.
