Hey wondering where to go get some really unusual costumes around the wheat city. And if there is a haunted forest or house this year?

I am sure Jason will be on here shortly announcing the Haunted Forest (I think that is what they are doing again) - I know he has been hard at work already getting fantastic decorations made....

There is a Haunted House at the East End Community Centre. This starts Thursday 6-9, Friday 6-10 & Saturaday at 1-3. $2 admission with any proceeds going towards the improvement of the Centre.

The Vintage Costume Company on 10th & Lorne has some very unique costumes & accessories! You can find them on Facebook or at www.vintagecostumes.ca

Haunted house and yard display. Free admission, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society greatly accepted. This year's haunt features 3 floors (almost 2000 Sq feet) of INDOOR haunt space(no more weather concerns),theme rooms, live actors, props,and more! We also be selling hot chocolate, hot dogs, popcorn, and cotton candy. We will have a warming area, as well as a kid friendly laser tag zone, and also are accepting donations of non-perishable food items for the Samaritan House. This is our 5th year in action, and so far we have raised almost $20,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.  
To get there from Brandon, travel the 1A (west on Victoria ave)towards Kemnay, turn south on 117W (Stanley Road ) travel 6 kms. We are open from Oct 28 - 30th from 6-9pm and October 31st from 5-10 pm. Check us out on Facebook under Grim Acres Scare Away Cancer, or on our website at www.grimacres.ca

The Haunted Forest at Turtle Crossing will be open Wednesday (Oct 28) through Friday (Oct 30) and closed on Halloween. This is our 10th anniversary of scaring and is one of our major fundraisers. No scare time for kids and scare time after dark!

I saw a couple of videos that cklq people did.  
 
And you can not beat the cause it is raising money for. Scare cancer away any way we can.

Grim acres scare away cancer! The awakening!! A must do! Starts tonight and runs till Saturday. Hours I believe are 6-9 Wednesday - Friday. And Saturday 5-10. Head west on 1A towards Kemnay, turn south just before the underpass bridge. Follow the road till you see the lights. No fee just a donation for Canadian Cancer society also taking non pershible donations for Food bank. Will also have free laser tag for the kids. And hot choc and hotdogs for sales for a small fee and the items. Don't miss this event! It is amazing! You won't find a haunt like this anywhere around Brandon.

I did a walk through of it as well and it is seriously kind of unbelievable. The amount of work put into it is incredible and even though there were no lives actors yet, I jumped quite a few times. There really is nothing like it! You need to see it!!!

Grim Acres is once again the place to go this year! I walked through the house without any of the actors and I was terrified! Wonderful cause and wonderful people! Be sure to round up a group of friends and be prepared to scream, it is definitely worth the short drive out of Brandon.
