They both work, 95% of fields going in these days are chamber systems due to cost, they are cheaper. Field failures are more to a result of overloading and improper use than construction type. Do all your laundry on one day of the week and blow all the solids from your septic tank into your field over and over, that’s how you shorten it’s lifespan. Get an effluent filter and clean it regularly.
