Hello I am possibly looking to inquire a piece of property to build on and i am just trying to figure what people have roughly spent on there general house when all said and done, but maybe also say just basement,slab,or crawl space, and maybe a few other things broken down if you have a idea if not I'm mainly looking at a cost in total/and or per sf and a basement cost. Any help is greatly appreciated listed thank you very much.

In the process of doing an rtm, with full basement (unfinished), two car garage and 1700 sq foot house we’re looking at around $350,000-$375,000. We already own the land. Waiting on the actual quote for basement and garage, rtm is $250,000

If you call any of the local lumber yards (not H.D.) they can tell you how much per square foot it costs these days to build.

Anywhere from $30-$50 per square foot all depending on finishes

But that would be a bare bones shed and won’t i:nclude labour.  
We looked at building and it was more like 300- 500 per square. We were looking at a bit of a bigger home with some better than basic finishing including a finished basement. In the end we decided we couldn’t afford it and stayed where we are.

Having had a home renovated in the last year or so I can give you some base costings.  
Electrical 20-30k including furnace.  
Plumbing 15k including shower cubicle.  
A/c 4k.  
Windows, triple pane, 30k.  
Flooring 20k.  
Roofing/Eavestroughing 8k.  
Now add on the cost of interior wallboarding, plastering, plus fixtures/fitttings 125k.  
House is around 2000 sq feet and reno did not i:nclude basement work so about $115 a square foot.  
If you have to buy all the lumber and have plans drawn up then add on another 50-100k to your total, this assumes you already own the land and does not take into account planning fees etc.

The price I came up with is walls and floor separate no electricity or plumbing no idea what they run. But on ptherchand tou mentioned 500 on the high side so u are telling me a 1200 sqft house will cost 600,000 seems a bit high .

You are probably looking at $150/square foot. Obviously that will be higher or lower depending on your choices.
