I need to replace both but very confused as which brands to buy. Some have complaints of parts being to expensive, recalls, break downs. I figure to ask all of you here as the same weather conditions are experienced by all of us. I would like a 2 stage gas furnace that is reliable and a decent price. The a/c needs to be reliable. I would also would like to know who is a good installer as its very important.

Call First Call (204) 570-2255 and speak to Manly. He installed a two stage Goodman gas furnace (10 year parts warranty) this past Winter for us. Did a superb job at a reasonable price. He also took care of a loan program to finance the purchase/install through MB Hydro for us.

You can PM me, I don't want to disparage a company on social media. I had a furnace and AC put in by the same company, who I have hired many times before with good results..but the new ac stinks. The AC does not cool the house and my hydro bill skyrocketed. I told them about it and all they did was turn up the fan on my furnace.

Call the folks at Westside Plumbing and Heating! I've used them many times and they'll make sure you're taken care of.

don't use Nates plumbing and heating...I had some work done by them a couple years ago...they gave me a written quote, but then charged more . they did not do extra work...they sent out an apprentice that didn't know what he was doing....

They replaced our furnace and installed A/C. Quote was exactly what we paid and we have had not one issue with either unit. Both A/C and furnace are now 6 years old and have still never had one issue.

Total fix - used to be called Capital

I personally would stick with a company that is well established and been in Brandon awhile. Nothing against newcomers but if you have a 10 year warranty lets hope the company is still around.
