Looking at replacing current deck with composite decking. Anyone have experience with trex or veranda? Has it stood up well over the years?  
Any suggestions or recommendations would be helpful.

Fiberon is the composite decking we installed 4 or 5 years ago. We have been very happy with it. I clean it a couple of times a year with a pressure washer, otherwise just sweep it. We have 3 dogs and they don’t seem to have harmed it at all.

my neighbour has it, and completely hates it! If you have a west or east facing deck, the composite deck will get very hot to the point you cannot go on it bare feet.  
 
Also I've heard that each board can expand and contract, which also can be an issue.  
 
i personally would never put a composite deck. Would go traditional treated wood.

It is twice as expensive as traditional wood but once installed basically maintenance free. For those who are once and done, it is the answer.  
 
For every plus there appears to be a minus. As previous payer noted, it gets HOT in direct sun. It is not very Study. The support joists should be 12 inches apart where wood can be up to 24 inches apart.  
 
It can be extremely slippery when wet frosty or cold. There are various quality grades of composite. The less expensive also are prone to fading.

Friends have it. She doesn’t like it. Like the previous comment it is very slick.  
You got to watch with your shovel in the winter because it scratches very easily.

It is slippery when frosty or there is freezing rain. We really don’t use our deck in the winter so I forgot about that. Ours is a light grey colour and I’ve never found it too hot but usually have footwear on. Our joists are 24” and there has been no warping or movement. It was expensive but seems to be holding up very well. I wanted low maintenance and it is.
