Contractors promising one thing and doing another
I just wanted to know how everyone else feels about this. I have contacted 4 contractors to get a quote to put an addition on my house and 2 have actually come to the house to get the information. The other 2 made appointments and never showed. The 2 that came to the house never returned with a quote (we are talking weeks) won't answer their phone or return my call even to say that they cannot do the job.
Is this the way that this goes? It is very frustrating to say the least. Both of the contractors said that they could do it before the snow flies but we live in Manitoba and that could be any day now LOL.
Does anyone know the name of a good, reliable contractor?
Don't get me wrong, I know that they are crazy busy, but I would like a call back at least. Is that too much to ask? It is not a small job that I want to do either.
I know that this does not pertain to all contractors and I do not want to label the whole trade as such. I just want to know if this is the way it goes.
What is your opinion?
