Can someone recommend a reliable electrician to remediate the aluminium wiring in our home?  
I would prefer someone with experience doing this type of work, as well as doing it reasonably quickly.

Give Darren at Nickel Electric a call. Not all aluminum wiring needs to be replaced if treated properly. I know someone who had knob and tube wiring remediated by a different company. When they sold their house and the new owners got a home inspection there was still knob and tube. The company only removed anything that was easily accessible. They ended up getting Nickel in to do it right. Darren will check everything to make sure it is done properly.
