jlscruton said "Hey everyone, I am DESPERATELY seeking ANY assistance with this matter, and thanks in advance to ANYONE who is able to point me in some sort of direction here.
So, just over a month ago, I relocated to Manitoba to a rural community, and since moving in have not yet had running water. When it's not one thing it's another and I don't know where to turn at this point.
So where I am at... when we moved in we figured the issue was with the Jet Pump (non submersible), everything had been shut off since Spring when the last tenants moved out, and wouldnt start up again when we arrived: so we unhooked everything, checked everything piece by piece, hooked pump back up, and attempted to prime it, unsuccessfully. When we were manually filling the pump/pipes, the pump would run, but as soon as we stopped, and it had to pull from the well ...nothing.
So our landlord informed us we would have to pull up the sand point, and go from there, this is where I'm stuck ...
I don't know what it is I am doing so wrong, but I spent a week trying to pull this damn thing up, watching every video I could on YouTube, trying everything I could, again unsuccessfully.
So after not having ANY running water for over 3 weeks, I caved and started calling plumber after plumber after plumber...but every single one I called, told me they "don't work on sand points", and gave me another company to try.....who I (obviously) also contacted hoping they could help, but just kept hearing the same thing over and over again.
I have also went through previous ebrandon discussions, many times, going down the list of plumbers people recommended, and even the ones that people are saying are "rural" plumbers ....STILL no luck.
So here I am a few days before Christmas, desperate, fed up, and in the EXACT same place I was when I moved in...with absolutely NO idea where to go, or who to call from here...
HELP!!.... please..I'm at a dead end here, and would LOVE to get running water for Christmas this year!! "
Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I will give them a call tomorrow. Go from there
