BNRC is offering up to a $1000 grant for exterior home repairs for people living within the boundaries of the BNRC guidelines. The application and it's requirements are on it's website.

My problem is you are required to have 2 contractor quotes for what you would like to do and there are only 2 companies in Brandon to my knowledge who can do eavestroughing, fascia and soffit and vinyl siding below the windows. I can't get the other company to come and do it so I will no loose out on getting that grant. I have been calling them for 3 weeks leaving messages have been told their coming and to no avail. It is frustrating when you are at their mercy. I even told them it was important for me to get these 2 quotes as soon as possible for the application to be processed as it's on a first come first serve basis for funding.  
 
It now looks as though I will be getting nothing done, and it angers me.  
 
I also wanted to get some new windows, I had a few different outfits show up, do you think they would return my messages or drop off a quote? Still waiting for a phone for 2 wks and never did receive a quote at all.  
 
Does anyone else have problems getting contractors coming to do quotes for jobs??
