Does anyone know if there is a website that I can go to and look up a building code? I am currently doing some renovations and have run into some trouble with the building inspector. Normally I wouldn't disagree with the inspector, but I live in a small town and the "building inspector" has no qualifications to do the job or construction experience and was only appointed to be the building inspector because there was no one else to do the job. I'm pretty sure the work we have done is up to code, but I would to have some proof to show the "inspector" when he comes. I know you can buy the code book, but it is fairly expensive and would prefer to just print something off the internet if possible.
